no this has the enameled surface, and the purpose is to be (more) nonstick and not need seasoning.

it might be if you are doing 2 steaks at a time. i have a smaller round one, very basic, no enamel and i dont think i paid more than $7 for it on a slickdeal. you cant really use it for anything else but grilling meat and veggies.i can only do 1 steak or 2 small pork chops at a time.

This is enamel coated, doesn't needed to be treated like bare cast iron but should be seasoned, but because it I s coated, don't use metal utensils
