Wool is hydrophilic. It may have a similar effect here so don't assume polyester content means a hot sweaty mess.

A) Most Nike dri-fit is still garbage (there are many formulations).
B) Even the best stuff still doesn't breathe well, but it does wick & allow more evaporation.
Assuming this rando brand is anywhere close to the high end from Nike (a dumb premise), it's still wrapped by a shoe/boot preventing evaporation.
Poly is also proven much much more worse for harboring odor & bacteria, so not great for feet...

Any sock covered foot in a shoe would have the same evaporative detriment from the shoe, regardless of sock composition.
The bad science is assuming because it contains polyester it's necessarily going to be sweaty, where the science behind wicking fabrics clearly shows polyester blends CAN be good at doing so, and you admitted as much. I said it MAY...MAY...MAY have a similar effect as Dri-FIT...or are you certain they don't?
We can parse probability of like performance separately, but low probability doesn't mean zero.
You're the one that needs to not make assumptions, read more carefully, and work on your logic.
