Creality has a coupon code for the Otter Lite Basic 3D scanner. The scanner goes for $399, and shipping is free when you use the discount code: OLBONLY
You can find the code on the blog [creality.com], where you'll also find the system requirements (8th gen Core i5 CPU, 8GB RAM for the Otter series).
Be sure to select the Otter Lite Basic, as the code doesn't work for the Otter Lite.

The Otter scanners are well suited for scanning people. They have a larger single capture range and better tracking than entry-level scanners like the Ferret, so they scan faster. You can, for example, scan your whole family when you meet them for Christmas.

The Otter Lite has a 0.05mm accuracy (about 0.002 inches), and up to 30fps scanning speed, it can capture objects from 20mm (0.8 in) to 2 meters (about 6.5 feet).
The basic version doesn't come with the Wi-Fi handle, unlike the Otter Lite. The Otter Lite is a wired version of the same 3D scanner.

If you want to compare scan quality, I scanned this one with the cheaper Ferret scanner
https://www.printables.com/model/...file.p4nXj
And this one was scanned with the Otter:
https://www.printables.com/model/1514851-banana-3d-scan-scan-otter#preview.file.bNWce(you can see the traces of the string that I used to suspend the banana to scan it from all sides at once)
I don't own the Otter Lite, but the regular Otter. I set the resolution to 0.05 mm, which gives the same result as the Otter Lite.

Otter Lite (Basic) specs:
  • Up to 0.05mm accuracy (about 0.002 inches)
  • Scans objects from 20mm (0.8 in) to 2 meters (about 6.5 ft)
  • 24-bit full-color RGB camera with LEDs for low-light scanning
  • Can scan black and metal objects without scan spray
  • Marker mode with 8 infrared LEDs
  • Face and body scan mode with eye-safe near-infrared light
  • Wired USB 3.0 connection

Looks like it just sold out. It was $229 and had an additional $50 off coupon.

However the Ferret SE is the same price with the coupon.
