Ive had this breville since 2017 and its by far been the best appliance type purchase ive ever made. Ive used it for probably 95% of my cooking/baking/reheating since then (almost every day and sometimes multiple times per day). It doesn't heat up my entire kitchen, and it heats up fast enough that i almost never need to preheat it. For reheating food, i actually use this 10x more than my microwave.

Until this year ive had zero problems with it. However mine is currently out of service because the door track basically wore out the washer that it slides on, so the door doesn't properly shut. Thats the first problem ive had after 7.5 years of near daily use. My problem is DIY fixable but still annoying because its tedious.

There are other posts on here where people have complained about bad luck with the knobs, but ive never experienced those issues. I turn the knobs slowly though instead of trying to spin them so maybe thats a factor. These other knob types of problems people have had do not seem DIY fixable, but i don't think they are super common issues.

Bought this in 2022 and it lasted a year until something inside the door broke as well and it wouldn't shut properly. Breville isn't what it used to be and that's a shame. Shame because it was great until that happened.

Unfortunately, I've read a lot of recent reviews that said the same thing about past and more current quality issues. Maybe they'll come to their senses when their sales start dropping, if they haven't already. I've had my eyes on these for several years but am staying away. If they're going to make substandard appliances, they need to charge substandard prices, not premium ones.

I bought this exact version, as well. Probably going on year 5 of it. Far and away my favorite item in the kitchen. Don't have to heat up the entire oven for cooking when it's just for one or two people. The only issue we have is that the door creaks upon opening/closing. Not broken, just creaks. But besides that, it's been a tank. Was actually looking at buying a replacement for it (black truffle version) once they go on sale as I just bought a Breville black truffle espresso.
