Ive had this breville since 2017 and its by far been the best appliance type purchase ive ever made. Ive used it for probably 95% of my cooking/baking/reheating since then (almost every day and sometimes multiple times per day). It doesn't heat up my entire kitchen, and it heats up fast enough that i almost never need to preheat it. For reheating food, i actually use this 10x more than my microwave.

Until this year ive had zero problems with it. However mine is currently out of service because the door track basically wore out the washer that it slides on, so the door doesn't properly shut. Thats the first problem ive had after 7.5 years of near daily use. My problem is DIY fixable but still annoying because its tedious.

There are other posts on here where people have complained about bad luck with the knobs, but ive never experienced those issues. I turn the knobs slowly though instead of trying to spin them so maybe thats a factor. These other knob types of problems people have had do not seem DIY fixable, but i don't think they are super common issues.

Bought this in 2022 and it lasted a year until something inside the door broke as well and it wouldn't shut properly. Breville isn't what it used to be and that's a shame. Shame because it was great until that happened.

Unfortunately, I've read a lot of recent reviews that said the same thing about past and more current quality issues. Maybe they'll come to their senses when their sales start dropping, if they haven't already. I've had my eyes on these for several years but am staying away. If they're going to make substandard appliances, they need to charge substandard prices, not premium ones.

I bought this exact version, as well. Probably going on year 5 of it. Far and away my favorite item in the kitchen. Don't have to heat up the entire oven for cooking when it's just for one or two people. The only issue we have is that the door creaks upon opening/closing. Not broken, just creaks. But besides that, it's been a tank. Was actually looking at buying a replacement for it (black truffle version) once they go on sale as I just bought a Breville black truffle espresso.

I bought this as a housewarming gift for myself 4 years ago. It gets used several times a week and it's my preferred way to cook meats.

Had mine 8yrs and love it. It's not as good as a purpose built air fryer but for all around use and holiday cooking/baking reheating etc it's great overall.
Earns it's spot on counter.

I am using it from about 3 years daily, multiple times in a day. Its one of the rare air fryer which heats upto 480F. I rarely use my full size in built oven after buying this.

I had the original one for FIFTEEN years. I did have to replace the springs on the door once, thanks to YouTube. This year, it finally died. No power, no display. I just bought the same one during the cyber Monday sales, except with an interior light. Hopefully fingers crossed I'll get 7-10 years out of it.

I got mine used from my cousin who had already been using it for 3 years, and I've been using it for about 7 more, so that's roughly 10 years total, lol. We cook in it around 2–3 times a week. Absolute beast.
It looks pretty beat up and it's basically just blackened from years of baking, but I'm still debating whether I even need to replace it if it still works.
People who bought it recently and are having problems - yeah, maybe it's just not the same level of quality as it used to be.

So we have the non-pro version and have been using it for just over a year. We use it 1-2 times a day at least and it still works great. We had 2 ninja flips before this that both had random failures after about a year. The pro version was nice but was too big for us and was returned. A relative had the pro for 2-3 years until an electrical failure ended it. They promptly got another. It seems like a good quality machine to me, though.

I have this one for almost 5 yrs and still going, but the Start/Stop button started to double taps after the 2nd year. My cousin also have the same issue after the 3rd year.

Is a nice toaster oven but will replace with the Ninja XL. The button is so annoying.

Im sharing this on the off chance you still have it after all this time, or maybe if someone else is having similar issues to what we experienced.

This is the video i found about how to potentially fix the door issue im having. My door doesn't close all the way and wont move forward beyond a certain point. I think the bushing wore down and is causing the exact issues thos guy shows in the video.

Unfortunately breville doesn't seem to offer or even acknowledge the part exists so im going to do the DIY approach and rig a replacement together so it can become a functional oven again because microwave life sucks lol

When these work, they're great as you can see from the comments and my own person experience. I have read many comments in the past about fans going out, which is what happened on two of them - we're on our third unit now. The issue is, it's very difficult to replace the fan. If/when the fan goes out on our current one, I will be replacing it with a different brand. There are other brands that are as effective and much cheaper - I generally look to ATK, etc. for those reviews and I know they exist.
