Code in box is super dumb it's literally landfill because you can't resell it, the only reason I can see that this exists is to gift to someone else because Nintendo online system is broken and won't let you buy now to gift at a future date.

Note this is different from key in box which is a physical game cartridge but still needs to download the whole game, Bioshock was like this. It's a pain but this key can be resold.

people aren't selling games as much as they use to.I sell used games on ebay but a large majority of people buy digitally.And just dance isn't a graphic intense game. I own a ps5 and I only buy physical games for it but even they can take up 200gb or more.

Just Dance 2022 was the last Switch game that came out with a physical cartridge.
