The Wolverine V2 Pro is a wireless PS5 and PC controller aimed at competitive play, with mecha tactile buttons and an Xbox style layout that appeals to players who want offset sticks. It also uses USB C and is available with Hall effect sticks in this class of PS5 controller. The biggest drawback is the lack of rumble on PS5, which makes it less appealing for casual use. Reports also call out disconnects and software quirks, so it feels best suited to players who prioritize competitive features over extras.

Common Questions (4)

  • No rumble is supported on PS5, so it won't provide vibration feedback like a DualSense. That makes it a better fit for competitive play than for players who want haptics or immersion.

  • It is not a hall-effect-stick controller; the comments point to other PS5 hall-effect options like the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro and Hexgaming Phantom instead. At $99, it can still be attractive for its price and competitive-focused layout, but not if hall-effect sticks are the main requirement.

  • It uses USB-C (Type-C), not micro-USB. The charging/data port is visible in the product description and photos, which matters if you want a newer cable standard.

  • It can disconnect frequently, and the software may try to take over audio output as the sound driver even after disabling that function. Those issues are reported on both the wireless and tethered versions, which is a major drawback despite the lower price.

Would be nice to just turn it off in the settings for casual gamers that don't like the systematical layout

I think the rumble feature on ps5 controllers is exclusive to Sony. They know that they're doing. That's one of the reasons they know you'll want to buy the dualsense rather than these 3rd party ones that don't get stick drift.

Look at the reviews. I personally have this and it's not worth it, disconnects all the time. I also tried the tethered version. Also disconnects all the time with rumble on and continuously tries to become the sound driver instead of my amp and headset, even after disabling the function. Not a big fan of Razr products or the software unfortunately. Price is right and they look great, but do not function as well as I would like. I am someone who has been through 7-8 elite Xbox controllers for PC gaming over the past decade, I stopped buying those controller ms as well and am stuck with this one for now.

Reviews for this are pretty dismal. Still uses micro USB from what I see in the pictures? Lots of reports of disconnects, no rumble, etc. Hard pass.
