When talking $100 or less soundbar they are all pretty much the same. I'd go new over refurbished.

Honestly, I'd probably go Yamaha. I have a very old Yamaha ATS-1010 I bought for $20. I recently thought it had died (it hadn't). I bought the Onn 2.1 all-in-one (small sub built into the bar, like the Yamaha) for $69 from Walmart.

The sound from the old ass Yamaha compared to the Onn is way better. I've seen other remarks on old AVS threads of people giving big praise to Yamaha bars also.

So, in my limited experience of this realm of bar (small, 2.0, low budget) I'd go with a used Yamaha.

I picked up a a YAS-109 refurbished some time ago. $50 is a fair deal for a soundbar that has tiny built in subs, Alexa smart integration, app support, and other WiFi features.

Without a dedicated external sub, I tend to prefer built‑in subs over a bass reflex port design like you'll find on the TCL. While a reflex port can be fine for casual listening, it doesn't deliver the same fullness or control and often falls apart at higher volumes.

My only beef with the YAS-109 is that I wish it could crank it up to volumes higher than 90-92dB, so this soundbar is better suited for medium to smaller rooms. This is still better than the TCL which clocks in at 86-88dB for maximum volume output.
