I'm confused on the whole key expiration thing Humble recently started. Are these Steam keys going to be deactivated after June 2026 or you simply can't reveal the keys after that point if you haven't done so already?
My AI query said last year Humble changed it so keys can't be revealed after 3 years from the purchase date, but once you have the key the Steam key keeps working. I decided to test this out because I have many unrevealed keys of games I didn't care about or were duplicates from as far back as 2011. I chose the hide already revealed keys option and went to the oldest keys. I found:
- Most keys were still able to be revealed including my oldest ones.
- Some keys I had already revealed and marked as redeemed on Steam from various bundles showed as unrevealed. I clicked reveal key on some of these old games and got totally different keys. I didn't try to redeem any of those yet. Did they give me a second key for the same game?
- Other than a handful of keys which showed as expired and no longer revealable, almost all other unrevealed keys were still available regardless of age.
This is inconsistent with what I thought the new key expiration rules are. Does anyone understand the actual Humble key expiration rules? Do the changes only affect recent and future bundles and old bundles are grandfathered into never expiring?

Keys that have expiration dates will expire on those dates regardless if they have been revealed or not in your account.
Humble also have restocked some old games in people's accounts using Epic Game Store keys instead of Steam Keys.
