Some good deals on the 16-inch models too. Picked up a 16-inch 48gb/512gb unit in excellent condition for $19xx.

Hoping that the condition lives up to the advertising.

This is not a pro chip. $1200 for a used non-pro chip macbook pro? Don't think this is a deal.
Id like to see the last "pro chip" M4 or whichever deal for New or Used @1200..I cant remember one

Thanks for the post. Ordered a space black excellent condition one for $1205 as I have gift cards from trade-ins sitting for a while totaling around $515. No sales tax in DE, Bestbuy reward points ($30 back) and 2 yr total rewards warranty included makes it a sweet deal.

Pro is a marketing term. An M5 is great at a great deal of professional and general purpose workflows.
Apple has been using the base chip since 2020 in the Pro line up. HTH.

I mean from Best Buy kind of is, the warranty has already started. They can be scratched up or maybe missing accessories.

Excellent condition tend to be returns that are in near new condition, at least in my experience.

16GB, 512GB SSD, just slap M5 chip, which is not even a pro chip, and it's a deal?
I know, I know will get downvotes from Apple fanboys.

The Pro designation does not apply to just the CPU. It is for the entire laptop. The 14" Pro gets a better screen, more ports, bigger battery, cooling fan for the CPU, and MagSafe. There are probably other features that I am not thinking of right now too. So, it is an entry level Pro grade laptop. Not everyone needs the highest end CPU but still wants the better features of the Pro tier laptop.

M5 is pro grade performance chip cpu & gpu . Its gets over 15k Geekbench 6, handles 4k editing with cooling fan faster than M1/M2 Max, CAD/Maya, 14B LLM.

Performs better than $4000 5090 laptop
You might some clearence on M3 M4 16/512 24/1tb for under $1000 locally.

Recently bought an open box MacBook air m4 excellent condition.

It was the worst experience. Massive scratches all over the laptop, super worn out charger, streaks on screen, pet hair and food gunk in keys and cooling slot, water damage blotch on screen.

Went back and asked to exchange for another excellent condition, same specs and they said that excellent will cost 200 bucks more.

Was sent around stores. Customer care on phone was trash. Apple won't help because it's liquid damage.

I am done with best buy open box! I am okay with error with the product and standard returns but the experience was soooo bad and I have no clue how someone on their end tagged it as excellent!!
