If you don't like the "free" games of the month you can hold off activating Meta+ for 3 months.
Games claimed for "free" through the subscription are only accessible with an active subscription.
$30 credit for those that use a friend link prior to device setup (it's a ban-able offense on SD to post/request such links but check Reddit)
ALL SALES ARE TARGETED meaning they could offer 50% off to one account and no sale for another.
When buying games check for developer links to save a flat 10-20% when there is no active sale on the game.
You're going to want a better strap and there's 2 or 3 great options for under $100. Some have hot swap batteries.(examples kiwi, globular, boboVR)
If you have glasses or a stigmatism there are snap on prescription lenses for $20 on sites or $50 direct from Meta.
The max credit you can attain per year is $599 (anything $600+ is taxable)
The 4th gen headset is expected 2026/2027
There's free 3rd party software like OcularMigraine that improves visuals at the cost of battery life. Others like Quest Games Optimizer have a price associated along with permissions.
The games with PCVR need the Meta app for PC and many others recommend Virtual Desktop when on sale.
You do not need to link FB/IG to your account can use a normal email account.
If you mess up the $30 link you have 7 days to click a $30 link and factory reset your headset and go through initial setup to get it. Otherwise you need a good bit of personal info from the other person for support to process it. Sometimes there's a promo for $60 credit so check the app.
I'm sure there is info I forgot like there's no crossbuy and if you see it that means it gives you a Meta PC copy you need the app to play.
360 videos through the YouTube app are not true 4K and should be downloaded to view uncompressed.
Rechargeable batteries for the controllers are a must as they take 1 AA each.
Activate 2 factor authentication and set a pin for purchases to minimize accidents. There is a small return window for purchases but YMMV with support.
Those with GeForceNow can use it with the headset but the experience is not amazing yet.
Do NOT expose headset or lenses to direct or reflected sunlight (use a cover)
If you owned a Quest2 and purchase a Quest3 you may still be able to get the $30 activation credit.
Do NOT leave the headset charging for hours unsupervised or with 3rd party plugs/cables
Always read reviews as Most Recent and check online for in depth reviews.
I've accidentally punched my headset during a vr workout and thankfully it was fine but mind your surroundings.
Meta+ is not needed to use the headset (my 3 month trial ran out)
Only use a dry microfiber cloth to clean your lenses or risk removing the anti glare coating
Batman game extended through December 2026 (May be available to you pending package image)
I own a Quest 3
Community Reviews
The Quest 3 512GB deal stands out as a strong price cut on the higher end headset, especially for the pancake lenses, higher resolution screens, finer adjustment, and 4x storage versus the 3S. The $100 Amazon promo credit can make the effective cost much lower, and it has stacked with Discover, Citi, Amex, and cashback offers for some orders. The main catch is that the credit is limited to items sold and shipped by Amazon, expires February 15, 2026, and may need to be used carefully because it can be awkward with coupons or returns. A solid value if the credit fits your Amazon spending.
Common Questions (5)
It can stack with card offers and cashback, such as Citi, Discover, or Amex promos, which can push the effective price much lower. Some shoppers also used the credit alongside cashback to get the Quest 3 well under the listed price.
Yes, cancellation and reorder worked for several buyers, and the $100 promo credit still reappeared on the new order. If the order has already shipped, the safer fallback is to return the more expensive one.
Yes, the purchase qualifies for a $100 promotional credit that is applied to eligible Amazon orders. It works only on items sold and shipped by Amazon, not third-party sellers or digital content, and it is not a gift card you can spend freely anywhere on Amazon.
The credit expires on February 15, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PT. It is a limited-time promotional credit, so it needs to be used before that date or it is lost.
Yes, it can be used on multiple eligible orders, and the remaining balance can carry over until it is exhausted. It is still treated as a promotional discount, so eligible items must be sold and shipped by Amazon.

I got this deal and the Amazon 3 deal. Was originally just gonna return the 3s- but-
Now thinking of keeping it for the year of Horizon+ and setting up an account on this one and the 3, then cross referring for $60 on each account.
Is this possible? Would effectively make this $200 set worth $180 in service (year H+ plan and $60 referral on each account)
Is the Horizon+ plan tied to the device or account?

Anyone buying a new set, gets 3 months of H+, so at about $5/m, the extra 9 months of H+ is worth about $45.
Better start shopping.
