The saw was $129 for as long as I can remember. There seems to be a price increase to $159 so this is a $30 savings. The $328 list is ludicrous for what is essentially a trim saw. It was a 1 month price increase between Sept and October. This is not 60% off. It's $30 off; so if you don't need it, keep your money in your pocket.

Thanks OP.
Been needing an intro Miter so I grabbed this, hopefully its good.
Bought some stuff through HD online a few weeks ago, sent out in 3 shipments, 1 fedex and 2 OnTrac. The OnTrac arrived but has some sketchy reviews online. Just keep this in mind when ordering online (I opted for in store pick up on this purchase).

If it was sliding, sure. I like the 7-1/4" form factor as it shares blades with most circular saws. Lack of sliding means you cant cut a 2x6 with it, so probably not worth it unless you strictly do trim work

You'll want the sliding version instead. Take up too much space for the amount of stuff that you can cut with

Would this cut EMT or strut with the right blade?

Absolutely. I have cut a mess of 1" 16g square tube using this saw using a Diablo Demon metal blade. That being said, a Portaband-type saw is a far better choice for cutting metal unless you need precise miters. Much less noise, shrapnel and mess to clean up.
Now I mostly use a Portaband saw in a stand for straight and miter cuts in metal, but this little Ryobi is still super handy to have around.
