There's an offer for 10% back if you use your prime card as well.

This is the new MSRP "everywhere price" for this until at least 12/28/25. If you buy from sony.com, you might see a popup (accept all cookies) offering another 10% off. Check paypal for a 5% rewards offer. Some also stack id.me

Crazy how this thing is still selling for such a high price. I loved how it looked and wanted an A95L. Was debating a few years back if I should wait for the A95L to drop in price or just go with a Samsung. Went with the Sammy, so far don't have any complaints but the A95L is a beast. Good thing I didn't wait for it to drop in price.

Part of the reason is that it hasn't been replaced. The Bravia 8 Mk2 doesn't have a 77" model, so they keep this around instead. Keeps the prices up.

I'm really interested in buying this TV, but I'm wondering if the price is likely to drop before the end of 2025. For those who track TV pricing or have experience with previous models, do you think it'll go on sale or get discounted later in the year?

Sony shall replace it with a 77 B8 Mark III. Price tag at least 5K so need to drop A95L anymore.

For dark rooms, OLED (this one). For bright rooms, the Mini-LED has better brightness at the expense of "blooming" and black colors are not completely dark like OLED. Saw them side by side tonight, Best Buy has a display thing that actually shows the difference with the demo. Luckily, the Sony rep was in the store at the time and answered all of my questions. I walked out with the 77" OLED A95L.

Best Buy has the same price if you want to go in person and get their credit card to get 20% off in "points" for first day's total purchases. The rep said he can manually apply it as a statement credit (maybe as an in-store price adjustment afterwards but not sure?). He texted me his personal cell number and told me to remind him in 16 days for the $700 adjustment. That convinced me to buy and take it home immediately. Other benefit is that if there is anything wrong with it, can return it to the local store for an exchange instead of trying to photograph damage for RMA and ship back.

Lol! Its finally at my trigger pulling price from 2 years ago. Too bad 2 new LG and Samsung OLED models which surpass this TVs specs and features have already come out. I might as well buy the LG 83" C5 for this price or the G5 for $500 more.
Who is paying this price for a 3 year old model when LG and Samsung have better newer models that go up to 83" for the same price or cheaper?

People who like the Sony processor's upscaling and prefer the slightly higher quality OLED panels.

It was the king of TV for few years, so yeah..It will still beat the latest top tier ones on most categories.
