I was very concerned about installing them without eaves, but I screwed mine into the 2x4s that hold up our gutters. Instead of the effects of glowing light under the eaves, it is more like individual cones of light that shine down across the front of the house. Honestly, it still looks great. There are people in the neighborhood with eaves that have these lights, and I think they look slightly better, but I'm very happy with the purchase.

I had one strand go haywire after 9 months, and Eufy actually sent me a brand new strand that fixed them. Super happy with the purchase.

I have these. I prefer them to the govee pro. I like that each light has a mounting hole so you don't just rely on the adhesive.
