have 3, love them, resisting the urge to purchase one for work cuz i'm tired of the 3 sh*tty 24" units I have to code on.

I'd go for an IPS for coding. But 24 inch is pretty small. I'd want a 27 inch at least. That said this seems like a good price.

I ordered it this morning for $98, but the seller cancelled the order stating "out of stock". Then raised the price to $145.99 and the listing is still active. Very shady!!!

I have had a few others do the same to me, especially with vinyl they charge more for on the relist, even though it was out of stock.
This is from the company though, so a bit scary they are willing to do that

Yes, exactly. I can understand some greedy resellers doing this, but didn't expect a big company like Acer to do it. They didn't even remove the listing and re-list it - listing still says 5000+ sold.
If they are doing this to customers even at the point of sale, can't imagine how horrible their customer service would be if you ever had to deal with some warranty claim or anything in the future. Better to stay away from Acer.
