People love to hate on this card, but I have a 5050 8gb in my laptop and was able to run the new Indy Jones game at 1440p 80+ FPS with dlss performance. It's not as bad as some would have you believe. And at $200 its way better than any onboard graphics.

They made a 5050? I thought that was a joke on Gamers Nexus. Personally I'd go used 2080 ti, 3060 ti, rx7600, or maybe a new arcB580 before getting this. Else I'd save up a bit for an rx 9060xt or 5060.

I switched from ARC to this. Would rather have this than any Intel with the terrible crashing drivers.

lots of ppl love to hate on a lot of things. esp on sd. there is such a thing as "good enough" esp when it comes to tech. example: i have a dual monitor setup and these screens are 15 years old. 1080p = good enough.

Would this be an upgrade for a 14 year old on a budget with a 5600xt that plays Fortnite 90% off the time? Or is it close enough he should wait and save more money?

It's like 25% better. If he just plays mostly fortnite the 5600xt is more than enough for that

Naw. Fornite is pretty light (if you compete and dont up things). Better saved for the next system.

It might be a great choice for SFF systems with limited headroom on the PSU's.

I'm still running a GTX 1080 TI. Would this be much of an upgrade?
