Everything is made in China or Asia. I cannot understand why people like you are always making useless comments. TP Link makes some good products, and they aren't too expensive. Which is what this website is for. finding deals.
I have the RV20 Max Plus. The vacuum works great. The, "mopping" is very basic - just a piece of cloth that attaches to the bottom of the vacuum. The cloth attaches to a plastic attachment that you plug into the vacuum. You fill a compartment in the vacuum with water and it keeps the cloth wet. When it's done it's up to you to remove the wet, dirty cloth so it doesn't mildew. The base station charges the unit and has a bag to hold the stuff it vacuums up.
Navigation is great. It maps your house and lets you specify which rooms to clean. It does a great job, but it takes a while. Just doing my master bedroom (about 25'x20') takes almost an hour on rapid mode and uses more than half the battery. If it runs out of power it will recharge at the base station then resume cleaning.
The Max models are just the vacuum (no self-emptying base station, just a charger). The Max Plus models include the self-emptying base station. The RV20 units have the LIDAR sensor in the front of the unit. The RV30 units have a LIDAR turret on top of the unit. PC Mag voted the RV30 Max Plus their Editor's Choice budget-friendly robot vacuum last December.

That is because folks can do basic research. The 3 digit alphabets (Bipartisan btw) have been lobbying the government to ban all TP-Link products. They were used in largest CyberWarfare hack on US in history in March 2024 "Volt Typhoon" and other classified " " Typhoon hacks. Water supply systems in several states so completely compromised, they asked for "White Hat" hacker volunteers at DefCon August 2024 to try and help. All our cellular networks so completely compromised, may never be fully recovered...all thanks to CCP using specifically TP-Link Routers to help launch. Not to mention, documented TP-Link exposing folks MS credentials...all of this is publicly known and documented. Simple research. Yet, Big Box stores, etc not Cybersecurity focused. Just like known Hisense, TCL, etc. Smart TV CCP spying and decades of 3 digits warning about. Or DJI devices back feeding audio, images, etc to CCP Intel servers the moment connected to internet. "cybersecurity should be eveyone's responsibility" but... sadly isn't.
Don't understand this deal at all. 3 pack of Kasa Matter switches for $55, when the Tapo 4-pack of the equivalent is $44? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DRZ77JQT

Does anyone have this and can give any input on this vs other big names?

What are some good brands that are hardened against US spying? I'm more concerned about the US government spying on me than China.

Your comment isn't any more brilliant than theirs.
You equated other Asian countries with China.
Not everything is made in China (or even Asia).
Made in is not the same as designed in or controlled by.
About this specific deal... TP-LINK is facing a ban by the US so regardless if you think there is an actual safety threat or not, there is a potential of lack of support after buying this product.
(That could mean lack of security updates, too, which is a big deal.)
I have multiple tp-link camera's at home and they work great.
For those who are concerned about the Chinese possibly using this to spy on you, I wouldn't worry.
Tp-link as a company split into a Chinese and non-chinese company in 2024 due in part to criticism like this.
Their products for the US market are now produced in Vietnam, Taiwan, etc. to prevent any association with China and their headquarters is now in California.
The current push to ban them from selling products in the US is in my opinion, ridiculous.
If they operated in China as a state owned business then yes I'd be worried, but that's simply not the case.
I will say I would hold off in investing in these for now in the event they are banned as it could result in the tapo service being discontinued here which would unfortunately make most tapo camera's useless.
This recent video on YT can help clarify the media hype around the potential ban versus the reality. No reason to be alarmed, since many in IT (including myself) have consistently tracked incoming traffic to these devices and have never seen anything concerning. Theoretically it's possible and always a concern with any device, but so far the TP links have not shown any vulnerabilities with updated/supported firmware and devices. https://youtu.be/b9q2p4v1q94?si=uotUofc50zeJKU0d
