I've had this for about 4 years now - works well in all but really wet snow
You will need to watch the little metal skid shoes on the bottom - they wear out fast
If you dont replace them the plastic blade will wear out quick.
I 3d printed some replacement shoes because greenworks never seems to have any in stock.

Anyone have experience with this? I have their 80V lawnmower and it works great. I have a Snow Joe plug in snow blower that handles our driveway in southern Ohio fine, it's just a pain wrangling the cord. The blade on this one concerns me a little, as far as I can tell it's all plastic. The Snow Joe is a combo of steel and rubber.

It's a plastic blade. It bogs down in wet snow/slush so I would only use this on powder. Anything over 8 inches on the ground also bogs it down too. The 4 Ah battery gives decent run time for a smaller property but if you have extra batteries from a mower, you should be fine.

Plastic impeller, seems like terrible idea.

Corded here too. I am hoping we will start seeing 240v snow blowers, as more and more people add EV chargers in their garage. Heck even 2000watt motor for 120/20amp circuit will be cool, but that is likely to never happen.

I guess it seems like a much better deal than the electric shovel at the same price, if you have the space for it. Anyone use both?

I have just about every 80v tool. This one is my least favorite. It's big and useless. I much prefer the 80v powered snow thrower shovel

We've had our 2nd snowiest start to winter here in the midwest (16.9" for context) and my 60v Greenworks has performed fairly flawlessly. It can handle the really dry, cold snow much better than the heavy wet, but this is the case with most blowers. I have several batteries so I never run out, but I can do a traditional large 2 car driveway over 3 times with my 6ah and almost 3 times with my 4ah. I grabbed mine off FB marketplace, but would totally recommend it to anyone who has the Greenworks lineup. It has saved my back and then some. Higly recommend for this price.

I'm in year 2 with this snow blower and I've been very impressed on how well it works. Even with wet snow it does ok. Doesn't throw the wet stuff far but far enough to work.

I have a corner lot with a big side yard, so have a lot of sidewalk. I definitely need 2 batteries to finish the driveway and sidewalks. if you have a standard lot, one battery should be good

I have both in 60v. I bought the shovel on clearance for $70 just wanting the battery. The shovel is OK as long as you don't have a chance of hitting anything important when it's working because it throws snow FAR and only one direction. The blower is nice and does the job well but when I moved I downgraded from a self propelled two-stage to this. I really miss the self propelled feature. Deeper snow requires some effort but I got a two car 50ft driveway done on one battery after a wet 10" snowfall.

Waiting for the comments that this doesn't perform like a $1000 3 stage gas blower : )

I have this snowblower, and I stopped using it because it's only good for very light snow. Also, the construction is rather poor, as the snow chute would literally pop off and cause snow to shoot straight up (and then usually blow directly into my face).

That said, I have many other Greenworks 80v tools and they have all been fantastic, except for this snowblower. I ended up getting their 80v 2-stage snowblower and it has been incredible, and it effortlessly powers through everything that this 1-stage snowblower would stall out on. Pretty sure I had a knot in my back all winter when I still used the 1-stage snowblower from all of the shoveling I had to do that it couldn't handle; now with the 2-stage I haven't had a knot since. Smilie

Anyway, if you live in an area that gets any significant amount of snow, and/or if you often have heavy wet snow, I would highly recommend a 2-stage (or 3-stage!) snowblower instead.

As others have mentioned, this is the plastic paddle version. It really limited by the type of snow and how high it is. You can comfortably move about 2 inches or less with this along with spraying the chute and impeller with non stick spray. As long as you temper your expectation of this, you should be fine for light use.

The rubber paddle is better. Can push about 3-6 inches of snow depending on the conditions. Chute gets clogged so be sure to spray it down with a non stick.

250 shipped isn't that bad if you are already invested in this line. Comes with 2 batteries that cost about 150 total. So really this unit alone is 100 bucks.

Am I reading this wrong?

On BestBuy.com, there is a $159.99 80V 2AH battery attached as a free gift.

But on eBay.com, there is no free 80V 2AH battery.
