The answer is yes, but everyone needs to realize that anything that connects to the internet is spying on us at all times for the sake of pushing ads into every aspect of our lives as they possibly can

Hardly anyone needs TVs as soon as they come out. TV tech only makes marginal improvements each year as it is.

TLC = made in China

China (smart tv ) = SPY

No thanks. If they are not Japan / S. Korea brands my money stays in my pocket. Not China's

would the US gov really allow something that was proven to have spyware in it to be sold in the US? think long and hard about it.

No dimming zones, best to upgrade to a model that has some or you will regret it.

I don't know why but when I buy a tv nowadays, in addition to looking at the specs, I like to look at the side profile to see how slim it it. My general impression is that the slimmer the tv is, the higher the technology is. Does anyone tend to agree?

yes this technology has peaked for cheap panels! shipping from china probably costs more than what the set is worth!

Well.. that's why i posted with a link... did you read it ?

The back door was found by 2 different groups that flagged their concern to Android who took action. But does that mean TLC wont reverse their patch via. another update ???? Your risk. not mine. I know the CCP is using anything and everything to spy on Americans.

People need to know they're buying a Q5 class TV, which means you are buying this purely for size. 6 series devices is where the bare minimum for "Quality "starts for most of the budget brands (TCL/Hisense)
