Regular price for the off brand product, and probably made in the same CN factory

Get an old fashioned mechanical tire gauge. When you need this one, it will not work.
Trust me on this.
Battery powered is only a liability here.

I'm a big fan of the "Etenwolf" digital tire gauges that go on sale at Amazon for $4.xx every once in a while. The number display is lighted, there is a mini light to help see when checking in the dark, and it is large in the hand so I'm not fumbling with it.

Definitely agree with this statement. You do not want to be on the cold side of the road wondering why this device needs batteries when it's dead in a year from sitting in your car, while the mechanical version works just as well.

I disagree with this, I've used the same back lit digital gauge for 10 years without ever needing to change the battery. Try reading your mechanical gauge in the middle of the nowhere during the dark of night.
I don't have any personal experience with this gauge.

Mine lasted about 15 years.
I actually felt a sense of loss when it finally died.

Then get a separate flashlight and put those two together if you're really worried about not having any light at all, without a phone or streetlight. Chances are you're gonna be at a gas station and the air pump doesn't have a PSI meter, so you're way more likely to have some kind of light source rather than to be able to find batteries.

But sure, trust this cheap deal to have the batteries that last 15 years... in today's world.
