They MIGHT come from the same factory line but a well known US company would notify you of any recalls and probably have better QA than a fly-by company.

Great points, and just for added measure - one can go look at the recent reviews to see many 1-star ratings of the product just simply stopped working after some time. A notable company's reputation wouldn't last with this low quality.

These are throwaway products with low QA. Maybe you get lucky, maybe you get a lemon and a headache to boot.

I bought a "Chinese" heat-related item (last year) and was notified by Amazon (this year) about a recall for it and refunded me the money. So, I don't know where you get the notion that you ain't gonna get any recall notices.
