I bought it back then because it's the anti smart Watch. You literally don't have to do anything with it. Don't have to change a battery or set a time once it's set up. You certainly don't have to charge it. It will last forever. I've kept mine in a dark closet for about a week and it was fine coming out. It doesn't need to charge with sunlight it can just charge with artificial light. It's completely waterproof and washable which came in handy during the pandemic.
One giant drawback though. It's actually hard to see and..you know...actually tell the time. The watch is dark on dark. The light is so tiny that it doesn't actually light the face of the watch. It does have luminous hands but even those are dim and you have to really look hard to tell the time in the dark.
I wanted an anidigi watch like this to be a bit more stylish and understated then just a straight up Casio G shock but in hindsight I might have gone with a straight up digi watch that's easier to read but with the same features like this.
But this thing is a tank and has been through a lot of abuse over the years. I actually just now have to look at buying a new band for it.
