I love Govee products but this lamp is not great. It's not bright enough. If you want to set a mood great but if you need to read or see things clear this ain't it. I bought this and the other Govee light that does the water ripples on the ceiling and that one is great

The uplighter one was also very dim in my opinion. It was mood or reading light at most (ie where you read directly near it). I wish they made it more powerful (2000 lumen at least).
I returned mine hoping to see a brighter version next year. Otherwise it was really a cool lamp.
I got this one and returned it. It is a really cool lamp but only for effects/mood lighting still. It outputs 1000 lumens at most which is not enough for room lightning (at least for me).

So for you and the other posters who have commented that this is not bright enough, I'm looking for a room lamp in exactly this format but it needs to be very bright on occasion. Any recommendations?
There is also this one for the same price. Seems to be very similar just different lighting platform. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FGQ8LLVR
I see this as more mood lighting. I would not count on this to light up a room like a regular light. A bit expensive for just mood lighting, but cheaper than some of the other options.
this brand is good and their light colors are vivid, but i still go with normal color lighting because my eyes get tired from looking at the colors all night long

That's what separates GOVEE from Hue/LIFX lights which are far brighter and have far greater saturation so the colors are much more vibrant. They are more expensive but from a glance at what Govee is charging for some of their stuff seems like the gap in price has shrunk

Only thing I don't like about this brand is no Home Assistant compatibility…does it support matter?
Compatibility with home assistant is my reason for not buying more govee, but I do have some devices in my kid's rooms.
The integration below has a huge update and has been solid since. There's also matter on most new products, but I hate matter also. I try an stick with z-wave and zigbee which is why I overpay for hue.

this one looks very cool but can't justify spending that amount on a lamp. Hopefully we see some discounts on it soon.
