The Eero 6 are great for most homes with 300mbps service.

That said, they are not tri-band nor have dedicated radios for mesh. The 3 router version would be best and ideally use ethernet as backhaul. The radios then are dedicated for WiFi clients instead.

Good tips, thanks! I have all smart light switches and lots of other phones/TVs/computers/etc. and have never had trouble with too many devices, to where I personally just don't need the extra features. For me, if a system just works, I don't need extras (tri-band, dedicated radios, etc.). I routinely get my full 300 Mbps on all my devices, regardless where I am.

Would this be a good buy if I have a split-level home that gets really bad wi-fi on the ground level and no way to relocate the router from one of the upper rooms? I grabbed a couple of TP-Link range extenders from Resale, but am not sure those will do the trick.

As long as the extender unit can communicate well with the router unit, yes, it will cover your house well. I have my extender unit around 40 feet away from the router, a couple walls in between, and it covers our house perfectly. The extenders seamlessly connect to the router and rebroadcast the signal, so it's just so easy to set these up and forget about them (in my situation, at least).
