Dragon age origins (the original and best one) was a hardcore dark fantasy RPG with fantastic storytelling and branching decision-making. Veilguard is a kiddie therapy session with absolutely no consequential decisions, horrendous millennial writing and shoehorned gender ideology nonsense. In other words it's exactly the kind of game modern game critics and their Disney adult followers love. Trash, as evidenced by the audience reviews.

I didn't expect much from it since I know and tracked the number of people leaving Bioware in a span of 2 years before its release. Bioware is a shadow of its own name after all the people left EA. I'm looking at Fate of the Old Republic with cautious optimism but with very low expectations.

Honest question. I've never played any Dragon Age game and never even knew this one existed till now, but upon looking it up it seems like a pretty high profile recent release with good reviews. Why is the price so low and the consensus here that it's so bad?
