True, the bundle was $300. It's just a sad state that we the consumer are paying these prices for RAM.

No one expected it to go up, no one will expect it to go down when if it does.
I feel bad for a decent company like Microcenter, I think they'll hurt a bit because of this and the lack of people upgrading/building new.
People will just play their consoles if the console is the price of 2 sticks of memory. It was somehow different when graphics cards were outrageous, although I'm not sure why. People could build an entire machine without the GPU or find a cheap filler card until their card of choice came in stock or on sale.
Not so much the case with memory.

I think these were $400 when I bought 2 of them... 2 years ago. Different motherboard but same CPU and similar if not identical spec RAM. This Asus TUF motherboard is probably quite a bit better than the Asus Prime Z790-V they used to bundle at least.
