bought a c9 i think about 4 years ago, works amazing, its 48" would recommend the 42" depending on how far you can place it back on your desk. Zero burn in issues, just changed settings when I first got it to recommended oled settings (just search reddit, probably changed since when i did it). Use it for everything, from gaming, to browsing, to work, to watching shows. I certainly notice the OLED difference when using different monitors. Definitely recommend oled for for a monitor and, for me at least, worth the premium.

Yes. I use an older version as a monitor. It's awesome. For games it's fantastic for work and spreadsheets the auto dim is annoying but workable. Get into the habit of turning the whole pc off when not in use (prevent burn in) or get a screen saver that starts a movie (I like to turn it off). I think much better than the monitors that are so large... Sometimes I feel it is a little overkill but still love it. Get the 48.

$80 cheaper than the last S90F sale.

They are basically the same but I'm generally partial to Samsung. I have a full AVR 7.2.2 system so Dolby Vision is meaningless to me (which most cite as the main C5 advantage).

Been using a 48" CX for 5 years for work, play, everything, 16,405 hours on it. A little burn-in I can see now.

Why does having an AVR render Dolby Vision meaningless?

Same here. I have a 48" as a monitor. It is too big to put on my desk, so I had get a stand for it and place it behind the desk about 6 inches.

If you want it on your desk and need to see the whole screen for productivity, I would go with 42". If you just want a larger, immersive gaming experience, then 48" might work.

Overall, super happy with this TV as a monitor!

I just did this with the 42 inch lg c5, and it works pretty well, definitely glad I took the plunge. If you don't need to game at hight frame rates.
