You have to return in order. So return the ones you purchased previously then purchase the new one. Otherwise you will be refunded for the most recent purchase
Are you sure about that? My brother bought a recliner at a lower price and then turned around a returned it using his receipt from 2 months prior. It was $100 off. He didn't take the new recliner out of the store.

Is there anyway to cancel the AppleCare and get a refund for that to save more money?

I have the pro 2s. I can't hear out of my right ear so I can only use air pods in my left ear. With the pro 2 design I can use the right air pod in my left ear I just have it pointing up

Does anybody know if the new pro design would allow this also?
Ha! I do this with APP2 when I shave, so tips point upward

Not true. I purchased one AirPods Pro 3 (APP3) for $250 from Costco that was past the 30 days price adjustment when it decreased to $230. I bought a new APP3 in store then immediately returned it using the $250 receipt.
I've done this a few times and confirm it works. As long as you provide the receipt for the item when it was purchased at a higher price, you are good to go. All your receipts should be available to you online through your Costco account when logged in.

I was bummed I missed this deal when it was available weeks ago and ended on the 14th. Surprised to see it back and available so soon. They're really trying to offload these, huh? I'm still very happy with my APP2 and curious about pulling the trigger on these but I've heard mixed things about the battery life.

Also, I noticed it says "Warehouse pricing may vary" - these are still the same price in warehouse though, right?

I bought the $199 deal from Walmart with my capital one shopping and got a discount so I'm wondering if this would be worth the return for Apple care

Hard to say because the new design fits deeper into the ear canal. I think the only reliable way for you to be sure is to buy them, try them, and if they don't allow for the reverse fit you described, then you have the option of a hassle free return to Costco.

That's interesting! I know there's a 30 day grace period for price changes - I think what we're running into is inconsistencies in policy enforcement. This isn't how my store handles returns.

My neighbor tried that by calling Apple to cancel AppleCare. He was told that his only option was to return them to Costco for a refund, and buy them without AppleCare from another retailer or from Apple. Personally, I think AppleCare at Costco's packaged price is worth having. If I had it for my original AirPods Pro first generation, I would have received new replacements free when they failed. Instead, I was SOL. Now, I wouldn't buy them without AppleCare.

Got suckered into buying it direct from Apple for the Free Engraving and had leftover Apple Store credit, otherwise I would have bought this at Costco on this deal for my sister in law for Christmas instead lol
