Don't give anymore money to these crooks. They raised prices so much that over 30% of subscribers would have to full on cancel for them to lose any money. I have such a large library of unplayed games across multiple launchers on PC. They wont see another dime from me. ggdeals and just buy games at historical lows and save cash.

It's one of the better ones. Xbox kind of nerfed their Gamepass in the pursuit of revenue.

Can anyone confirm if these stack or do I have to wait for my current to expire before redeeming this?

It will stack, but if you are already an Ultimate subscriber, it only gives you 91 days.

My xbox ultimate ran out, but I mainly just want to play the games I actually own like Minecraft, GTA 5, Tetris, etc. Is this now the bare minimum I need to play online with these games?

You sure about that? It's supposed to convert at a 40% rate which should be 146 days.

EDIT: The 91 days is if you are already an Ultimate subscriber. The 146 days is if you are upgrading from essential to Ultimate.

Same thing happened to me on Dec 6th. Finally the GPU gravy train ran out. Yes this is the minimum you need now. The xbox gold from back in the day (or core for its short life). You can play FREE games online without anything but from your list, this would be needed.

I am buying this as I have not seen any deals on it and just accepted my fate that online access is $60 a year now.

While I agree with yall it sucks, GPU was so cheap when they released it. Could convert gold 1:1 so you got 3 years for like $100. We all knew this day was coming.

Sadly mine has ran out but I still want to play online with my friends so $60 for one year to do that, you cannot beat it. But hey, open to link for other deals if you have them.

Also buying games again sucks lol. Cashed in some microsoft points to get like $200 in giftcards so I did not feel the cash impact to buying games again.

My 30mo GPU expired this month and I have been on the fence about renewing.
My kids like playing XBOX, but it is 3rd in line behind PC and iPad (Roblox, Minecraft, etc).
I cannot justify the price now when they can play on the other platforms for free.
I will not be renewing unless there is a better deal... like $5/mo for Ultimate.
$5/mo for essentials just isn't enough...

Yes I did 3 years for around $120 when I got my Xbox and that expires next month 😒 I wish the cloud gaming was another tier if that's what is bringing the price up. I always download the games I play, tried the cloud a couple times and wasn't impressed (we have Spectrum 1gb down but only 35mb up, probably be better if we could get fiber).

Does anyone know how this applies if you only want PC game pass and not ultimate?

Anyone know what would happen if I added it now to my account that is currently on Ultimate but will be downgraded to Essentials on January 6? Should I let it convert first before redeeming?
