I have this. Battery life is horrible. If you use max setting it will go dimmer in 30 seconds. I use this to go insect hunt with my kids at night for about 15 minutes. I have to charge every 2 days.
For 10$ more, I would suggest these lights that are 2x the Lumens. I'm not seeing a colour temp for the light. USB charging cord is, but no block included; and they are not waterproof. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Defia...-n/a-_-n/a

these look interesting as I'm looking for a replacement for a halogen setup I have however it seems most of these units aren't intended to "run" off of AC power continually?

Thanks man, I actually may like this lot more, repped! Only reason I grabbed the husky ones cuz of their location in the store, but I often feel like it's lacking some

I own both Husky and Defiant .....
The $20 Husky set is a nice set , pretty darn reliable and a good deal , BUT the set you mentioned (Defiant) are GREAT !!!
I have those also , and daaaam they are nice and super bright . I would say the lumens are about right at 3500 and seem to hold up well . As far how long the Defiant battery will last..... have not owned/used them quite enough to say .
Both Husky and Defiant are easily worth owning !!!!
I believe Costco had (or still has) a similar one, and I like the Costco version much better.
The magnet 🧲 feature is better than the Husky. The magnets are on the handle, not on the back of the device.
This is helpful if you have metal storage and want to hang it on a side panel or the ceiling—you can still angle the light in the direction you want instead of it being stuck shining flat against the surface.

I've seen these, they are really bright. They'll put a hole in your vision if you turn it on while looking at it. I obviously did it by accident. I have the older 1000 lumens from Defiant from like 4 years back. I know Defiant gets a bad rep, as inferior but I keep one in my glovebox, and it's come in handy in a pinch and stays charged for a long time. If these are the same quality, they're worth the price. I just can't justify buying more when mine work perfectly fine.

I also pulled the trigger on these, the emphasis on the 18650 cells gives me the notion that I'll be able to replace them in the future.

Hope that makes any sense.
