Love Nintendo but they deserve the low sales because of how much they decided to charge for these Switch 2 games. They need to lower it back down to previous levels.

First discount I've seen on the base model that didn't involve gift cards, all the others were for the Mario Kart bundle.

Might become more common. Reports yesterday were that this was the worst November for video game hardware sales in the US in 20 years by dollars spent, and the worst in 30 years by units sold.

They had to come up eventually. Games used to cost $50 20-30 years ago and look how much inflation has happened since then and especially how much game development costs have gone up. One guy used to make a game by himself, now they're like Hollywood studio productions. Look how many people are in the credits for any Mario game these days.

It's a good time to pick up a Switch 2 with RAM price hikes leading to Nintendo to raise the price soon. I'm guessing they are waiting until after the holidays to raise the Switch 2 price (or hoping AI datacenters cool off).

I'm guessing Nintendo is watching till after the holiday and probably after their next financial report. Ai frenzy isn't likely to cool off for years. The companies involved are going to push it as far as they can, it's basically what they bet their companies on.

Obviously lead with the item is available for purchase at your local store, which should be enough as it even gives a specific quantity, but the online price match policy steps two indicates that the offer can be ad-based, which would be impossible to order through. You can't order from an advertisement alone. So them telling you that it has to be orderable online or for pick up does not reflect their written policy step two.

It's not terribly surprising given the pricing in current times on the systems & accessories of the big 3 console platforms and how it the traditional trend of it going down over time as the life cycle progresses seems to have been thrown completely out the window. That are there is no real budget option anymore. So to me that there is likely a direct correlation there.

Price matched just worked.. I used a different chrome profile that wasn't signed in to bestbuy. the other agents were able to see my bestbuy account.

Switch 2 price increase will bring down sales heavily which Nintendo would not want. They are better off sucking up the loss and trying to make money in the game sales like Sony and Microsoft. This will be good for the customers šŸ‘

Thank you very much for this tip. This method was the only one that worked for me, I was trying to use the app for like an hour to shuffle through different agents and I finally went incognito and the first agent who helped me price matched it no problem. Feels good man!
