Great deal for a 2 pack Mesh router from Asus. This one is slightly better than the ET8 that came before it which had an inferior processor. Looks like the ET9 fixed the issues people were having with the ET8. Even when comparing this model to the XT9 the ET9 has a better Wi-Fi chip inside. Maximum 2 per order. Grabbed 2 sets for me and my parents homes.

I ran an ASUS mesh system in my home using the XT8's and an XT88U as the main. It worked but every few weeks would lose WiFi and reset everything (even with scheduling weekly resets).
Purchased a Ubiquiti UCG Max on the BF deal and moved all the ASUS to AP mode. Night and day difference in how things perform. Everything reacts so much faster and I don't see my IoT devices magically disappearing from my network.
Key takeaway, these ASYS units can be an inexpensive option as AP's if you have the wiring already set
Seems like a great deal and has a 2.5Gps Wan port too. I am currently using Xfinity's XB8 router and for my use case it works just as well as my ASUS 88U Pro. My XB8 is in my office and it provide great wifi to most of our 2 story colonial with one minor issue in one the upstairs bedrooms. Not sure if having a second satellite would help wifi in that second bedroom or not. The second ASUS satellite would have to be hooked up via wifi probably on the main level so it might help. I would love to be able to run an ethernet run to my second floor or possible MoCA but I'm still looking into both of those options.
