I'm doing the same thing. I can deal with the smell eventually (washing, airing, "suntanning"), but they don't fit my weight tree and take up extra space in my VERY small fitness area. These iron plates will be perfect.

I've slowly swapped my bumpers for cast iron too. Much more space efficient.

I got these from Walmart in August 2024. Been using them 4-5 days per week, over a year, and they still clamp nice and strong. Plus 90 day Walmart return policy. I'm very happy with these, much better than those spring type clamps that come free with weight sets.

I got these and love them. Primarily because they are magnetic so I can stick them on the side of my machine or rack.when not in use. https://a.co/d/3fpKIbA

I'm going to get those. I usually prop my clamps on a J-hook while changing weights, and they fall on the floor. Magnet seems like a great idea to stick on the rack while changing weights and for storage. Also, the clips on those seem easier to deal with than the ones I have that you have to fight with to latch and unlatch.

Any suggestions for a good bar for these? Bench and/or curl bar?

Yes! That's exactly why I got them too. They are great. Got like 4 packs and literally just have them stuck to machines around the gym. I never have to go looking for clamps anymore. They are also relatively thin so for my leg machine I can fit more plates.

I got this curl bar for $10 and it works fine https://www.walmart.com/ip/Signat...7871553952

This 7ft straight bar is decent for chest routines @ $50

Or this one for $13
