These are ok and it's nice that you get a 130W power adapter with it, though the issue is that they're limited to 10gbps, so if you plug in a display, you've basically got no bandwidth left.

I bit on this deal. The reviews are questionable in that several people say it breaks after the warranty period. However, if the power adapter is UL listed (the WAVLink store says that it is), that alone is worth the price. I am going to give it a go.

The $40 Belkin one is tempting as well and someone says you can get reliable used ones for $20. But it is not external power supplied.
