This Baseus 65W two port GaN charger stands out for its very thin, foldable travel friendly design and compact footprint, with proper ETL and PSE markings and a handy status light. It can deliver 65W from a single USB C port and 45W plus 20W when both ports are used, and it has been used successfully for overnight phone charging and laptop use. The main drawback is heat, since sustained full power tends to throttle back to about 45W after short bursts. The listing is also for a used item, and the voucher code reportedly does not work, so it is best suited to short charging sessions where size matters most.

Common Questions (5)

  • No. It can reach 65W on a single USB-C port, but it reportedly throttles to about 45W after roughly 15-30 minutes when it overheats. It is better suited to short bursts at full power or lighter overnight charging than sustained high-load laptop use.

  • It is reported as unsuitable for 110V/100V regions such as the US, Japan, and Taiwan, with warnings about high ripple and worse behavior at lower voltage. It is described as more usable in 240V regions, while a regular 65W GaN charger is recommended for 110V markets.

  • Yes. It is described as extremely small and thin, with fold-out prongs that work well, making it useful for travel and tight spaces behind furniture. The tradeoff is that the compact design is also linked to heat buildup and throttling under sustained load.

  • Yes, but the output is split: it can deliver up to 65W on one USB-C port, or 45W + 20W when both ports are used. That means it is fine for charging a laptop and a phone together, but not for getting 65W from both ports simultaneously.

  • This listing is for a used item. That matters because the deal price is being advertised on a used unit rather than a new-in-box charger.

There's a nomad version and I really think it's worth the money it's so much smaller I had to get that one. That one does work very well I think this is just really kind of big.

With that size 7500mAh built in battery would been nice.

What was the ripple value? Could it be possible you don't have clean 110V?
He is talking about generic chargers and not this particular model or brand. Mentioning input voltage and high capacitance on the output is indicating that he is talking about the older transformer based wall wart rather than the current gen GaN charger. Yes, some generic, no name charger could be very bad for your equiptment. Baseus seems to be an OK brand.

Anker and Baseus are probably actually giving you a device that does what it says. ... Am I missing other companies? Belkin isn't very visible.
UGreen has a 65 watt like this, that comes with international plugs as well, and is super handy on a plane (where you can use the UK plug to keep it from falling out of the stupid plane sockets).

I haven't checked its ripple, but it worked well for the combo of my M1 Max MacBook Pro plus my M2 Vision Pro, both at 110v-220v.

Nomad sells an adapter very close to this that's 100W. You can find it by searching "Nomad 100W Slim". Literally .75" wide. Currently I'm waiting for a sale.
It's kind of crazy that there's no other brands making chargers like these, it's the perfect form factor for many situations like travel and also putting chargers behind beds, dressers, furniture etc..

There are many. Just search for "Ultra-Slim USB C GaN Charger"

Not at 100W. Trust me, I've searched after a hyperfixation a few weeks ago. The next thinnest one aside from Nomad is from Anker, but that is closer to a traditional charger.

If you're okay with 65W, I've been happy with the UGREEN Nexode Pro, very small for 65W. Only reason I want more is because I picked up an Xbox Ally X.
