15 year old game. Is this really slick? My guess is not.
It's $3 for one of the best RPGs ever made (Origins). It's a killer deal.

I get so confused with the Dragon Age games. Origins is (basically) turn based while Dragon Age II is almost an action RPG...right? FWIW, I want an action RPG, not turn based.

I wouldn't say it's fully turn based like a typical JRPG, but it's more of one of those games where you can pause the game, queue up attacks, and watch it unfold... and also do the same for your allies if you please (otherwise they just fight on their own). Kind of typical of early Bioware games.

I'm not hugely into turn based RPGs (most of them wear on me quickly), but Origins is one of the best RPGs ever. I probably played through it 3 times over the years. Totally worth it, IMO. The rest of the series never comes close.

Thank you, I am not normally a fan of turn based either, but might give Origins a try!

FWIW, last turn based game I liked was probably Dragon Warrior on the NES

I bought Dragon Age II in 2022 for $5.43 with season pass DLC and Dragon Age Origins Ultimate for $4.99 on GOG on 2018.

Seems like Steam updated by base game to ultimate edition.

I have not yet played either of them.

Bought these after playing inquisition but never played the Inquisition DLC since it was was always saying I couldn't come back and I was delaying and then life happened.

I'd highly recommend both of these games. I actually replayed Dragon Age 2, not too long ago and found out that it has held up fairly well. Dragon Age 2 got a lot of hate when it was released because it wasn't as good or as "epic" as the first game, but I think that it's better than Inquisition and Veilguard because it has a tighter focus.
