Best Buy has a Legion 5 with an OLED and 5060 for 1000. Dunno why you'd go for the LOQ with the price being so close. Interestingly also sold by Ant.

Microcenter has a Legion for $799 with basically same specs (better build quality), and Victus + Nitro with 1TB storage for $849. Prices may vary by location.

I was hoping OLED burn in would be a thing of the past, but my LG B4 from last winter already has very noticeable burn in, and has only been set at OLED Light 20 the entire time. It still dims when idle - I haven't killed all the protection settings. I only removed the pixel shift thing (draws off the edge of the display), which wouldn't help much anyway. It has been used every day for work, around 5,000 hours now, and the burn in is mostly where the edge of productivity windows usually reside. The cleanest lines are in the center where window edges exist when they are snapped to a quadrant, but there are other spots where a window is typically loosely placed, and the burn in at those areas, while fuzzy, is also easy to spot with a solid green color.

I wouldn't want a laptop/"non-replaceable screen" to have OLED. We're not quite there for PC monitor use. I imagine my burn in started to be easily visible around the 2,000 hour mark, but I don't often look at solid colors; it's usually darker shades of gray that hide the fading blue pixels most of the time.

I'd take this LCD LOQ (even with the Ryzen 250 instead of a 260) over the OLED Legion.

My old JU6500 from 2015 had nearly 50,000 hours of use without major issues before I stopped using it. I only replaced it for newer tech that (finally) didn't have pink shifts like previous OLED models, and my modified LED backlight on it began to flicker at the high PWM rate I modified it to use - it started to drop out occasionally at 960Hz, but that was far better than the 120Hz stock PWM dimming.

Yeah I can see your point if you are buying for like 6 years or something but I think Lenovo recognizes most gaming laptop buyers are at the three year mark at the most before they upgrade. I find your response kind of interesting because you are admittedly an early OLED adopter but now you want to sway people away. Presumably you enjoyed your time with you're screen. Now your like "its the worst" without even highlighting any of the benefits like the absolutely massive visual quality improvement it brings to the table. Whatever though to each their own.
