This 48 inch LG B5 OLED stands out as a strong gaming and bedroom or desk display, with 120 hertz support, four HDMI 2.1 ports, Dolby Vision, and clear text for PC use. The OLED picture gets praised for its big jump in image quality, and the set is described as bright enough for dark rooms with excellent response time and no burn in concerns. Bright living rooms are the main weak spot, since brightness and reflection handling trail Samsung's S90F. Promo codes are limited, though the price has already dipped to about $500 and open box units have shown up near $450.
Common Questions (6)
Yes. It has four HDMI 2.1 ports, supports 120Hz, and is described as excellent for Xbox Series X, PS5 Pro, and PC use with clear text and decent HDR. It is especially suited to a bedroom or desk setup rather than a main living-room display.
No, this TV is not eligible for the $100 Best Buy promo code. The cheapest eligible model mentioned is around $1,500 before coupon, so the code appears limited to higher-priced TVs.
Yes, it supports Dolby Vision, but it does not support HDR10+. It is also described as a bit less bright than Samsung's comparable OLEDs, which matters most in very bright rooms.
The comments here treat burn-in as not a concern for normal use. It is also described as having no burn-in in gaming use, including with a gaming PC and Xbox.
Yes. It has been as low as $500 this year, and an open-box unit with accessories was seen for about $450 at Best Buy. One comment also expects $400 sales later in the year.
It is better suited to darker rooms or a bedroom with blinds or drapes. In bright rooms, Samsung's S90F is described as significantly better because it gets brighter and handles reflections better.

I suspect a bedroom has blinds / drapes to control how much light can get in the room. If so, the B5 will do very well and has Dolby vision unlike the Samsung. LG doesnt have HDR10+ but it isn't implemented nearly as much as Dolby vision.
Dolby Vision is prevalent on Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, and 4K Blu-rays. HDR10+ is adopted by Amazon prime.
