Counter point ive implemented 6+ Deco systems over the last 6 years, and theyve all worked flawlessly with max speeds etc. Im sure youre comparing the same WIFI level across these systems so its a shame your experience (though 5, 6, 6E, and 7 have vastly different abilities).
Separate comment to everyone else, as this Deco is only dual band make sure you have a wired backhaul as dual band is gonna pay a large price in performance if youre using a wireless backhaul to connect the nodes.

Hey Everyone, I have been an avid TP-Link user for a while, and I have had 3 TP-Link Mesh systems in the past 5 years....
I would not recommend them, After I switched to the Amazon Eero 6+(3 Nodes), I'm getting so much fast speeds, and they are all sitting the same positions as the TP-Links.
I would get 60-90mbps with TP-Link on the full remote nodes, with the Eero, I get 250 to 350mbps on a 500mbps home network.

I'm currently using 3 psck of Google nest wifi pro is this tp link better?
I hear that Google and XFinity routers will share data to other users from your router! not 100% sure i tested on Xfinity few years ago and it was true.
I considered it but at nearly 3x the price Im not sure if it would be really worth it for me.. Im only hooking up a couple security cameras and phones and roku sticks on wifi..
everything else far as PCs/xbox etc is all hardwired

I wish i had your luck, I enjoy the App interface of the TP-Link and so many more features and they are all Free compared to the Eeros that you have to pay
This set is great and works better but will probably never recommend them again as there is no firmware update support or them after a year. As long as you are fine with that these are great.
Most tplink only has 1 year of updates, so if there any new vulnerability, there will not be any update...
As for this model, updates has stop like 3+ years ago.... So be warned.
These are solid.
I upgraded to a UniFi system with 3 access points thinking it would have the same coverage, for better control and UniFi Protect. These TP link ones worked better for WiFi as a mesh even when just 2 of them were in use. Of course, it could also be that I'm not a network engineer, but I put a few hours into optimizing the UniFi setup and this TP link one just works.

This deal is a no brainier if your living in a multi story house and want large coverage on the cheap. Also if your looking to upgrade from wifi 5 which is now very much dated especially if you are using speeds over $500.

Its not that your not a network engineer, Unifi is just average at best at all times but yet super over priced, you just got sold by all the fanbois on here hyping Unifi........ Ooh man I get to look at dashboards, said any regular home wifi user, lol.
Seems like a great deal. gonna buy now and maybe return later but I've been on the fence for purchasing a mesh system for months..
I REALLY wanted to do wifi7 or 6e at least.. but at this price I think im...
Seems like a no brainer for someone like me coming from a single router that is fairly dated
Don't make the mistake I made, get a triband system. I bought X55 what a mistake! Mesh is pretty bad, range is bad, chokes, cameras don't connect all the time despite having access points (both wired and wireless) and even the outdoor POE extension I got has weak signal near my 2.4ghz cameras.
Find a triband, learned in these threads that with triband the backhaul will be more reliable.
If you plan to do wired backhaul, then go nuts get this for $85, it's a decent price, with a pretty bad app-only set up control panel.

I just got this coming from Google. We're going to switch back and return. The controls are cool but the connectivity is so spotty w/ this TP system - Samsung 23Ultra is now barely usable on Wifi.

As others mentioned, this is dual band. Meaning that if you're not connecting them with an Ethernet cable, then the nodes will use the one of the bands (I believe it's the 5ghz) to sync. This effectively adds congestion to that band and will affect the speed of your wireless network.
FWIW, I've setup two of these systems with my family and they've had no issues. The only thing I've noticed is the high CPU usage in one home with a full setup of Ring wireless cameras.

This is simply not true.
You claim that this model has no updates for over 3 years? The X60 4.6 hardware had an update in August 2024, less than a year and a half ago.
And there hasn't been a CVE published for TP-Link's AX3000 since CVE-2024-38471 in July 2024 and CVE-2024-21833 in January 2024, both which only affected Japanese versions of the firmware and that has been patched.
Please list which CVE has not been patched by for this device.
