OP must be "hacking" this deal. FWIW, I got grief for hacking a deal last time, but they took it anyway.

Yeah certain managers are catching on. I overhear it often at my local HD over the last 6 months when I pick up orders. They say "Return the entire "buy this get this" bundle or keep both". They offer free exchanges in case of any issues, but never a "partial" refund like the hack does.

It's because the "free item" discount is spread across all items in the cart. This makes the "free item" cost $7.86, the right angle attachment cost $12.11, and the cart total is still $19.97.
