At some point, it seems like your Apple ID becomes disabled from using any sort of free trails. My original one from day 1 took advantage of about 5 and now I think it's locked out for good; nothing seems to work. Need to rely on my other 4 Apple IDs.

thanks! been looking for a deal on AppleTV. Signed up on Roku (from the $8 4K Express refurb device deal a month or 2 ago) but it's applied to my Apple ID so works on other devices as well. Full price on March 19.

OK. Couldn't get it to work correctly with PC browser, but worked fine using phone/QR code.

Explain? Do you mean you signed up on your phone or do you have a separate Roku device?

Not sure how this works.

Using mobile, adding the apple tv deal, it goes to the Roku page and asks me to install the app. I do, and then nothing happens.

Don't see anything about a subscription.

When I tried to activate using a web browser, it wouldn't take, but when I scanned the QR code and logged in that way via my phone, it worked.

That's what was happening when I was trying to do it using a browser on my PC, so maybe is was just luck it finally worked when I used my cell phone and scanned the QR code.

I did remove Apple TV from my Roku.

Didnt work for me, says Select Users.
I uninstalled AppleTV from my Roku, then followed the steps with my phone, from app on TV, tried both the QR code and the online code which show the 3 month offer, once logged it I am prompted to add a credit card with a $12.99/mo subscription starting today. If I am missing a step please let me know, no AppleTV or Netflix here.

This worked for me! Using my Roku device, I had to go to the setting of Apple TV and "reset" the app. This brought up the QR code, and just below the QR code, the promotion for 3 months free was displayed.

Is this only for users who haven't done a trial before? Not working for me or my wife, but we have already done free trials this year.
