New Balance's 2002R comes across as a stable, good quality sneaker with a 990 and 993 feel at a much lower price. The deal is strongest for the comfort and old school New Balance look, and the shoe is described as a pair that gets worn often. Fit is the main watchout, since the listed D width is the only standard option here and the men's version is described as running more like a unisex fit with a tighter toe area. Free shipping and the XTRA20 coupon also appear inconsistent at checkout, so the final cost may vary.
The 2002R can feel stable and similar in fit to popular 990 and 993 models.
Free returns may be available when using a free FLX account for exchanges and returns.
The deal price can make it practical to buy multiple pairs for next summer.
The sneaker can be worn more often than a 993 pair for some owners.
Free shipping may not apply because the item can show as excluded from free shipping after login.
The shoes are reportedly only available in Width D (Medium), which limits sizing options.
Promo code XTRA20 may not work during checkout, which can block the expected discount.
The men's version may be unisex and not traditional D width, which can increase the chance of pinky-toe rubbing.
