It's a 5 year old game that is pretty well optimized. The best GPU at time of release was the 2080 Ti.

In my opinion, it's the greatest VR game out there. For those who remember how revolutionary Half Life was to 2D gaming, Alyx is that to VR. I almost never play the same game twice and yet this one I've played through three times. You actually look down the sights of a gun to aim. You use cover. You have to reload in realistic gestures. So much to love about this game!

I have quest 3 too. My RX 6650 xt 8G is barely enough to play HLA on HIGH settings . I had to tune my system to use minimum VRAM (close all other apps, disable SteamVR home), even though during the game 7.9G of VRAM is in use. I'm using SteamLink on quest 3 + SteamVR on PC. Running smooth.

The game itself is awesome, no doubt.
But there is also whole world of mods for the HLA !!! I'm slowly playing them all one by one. This is so cool!
