Apple TV is offering a deep batch of anime box sets for $4.99, with standouts like Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, Serial Experiments Lain, Hellsing, Samurai Champloo, Trigun, and Princess Jellyfish. The strongest appeal is value on classic series, especially where physical releases are out of print or expensive. Several titles also appear to include English and Japanese audio with English subtitles, though some listings are awkward to find, may open the wrong series, or require buying inside the Apple TV app. Access can also be inconsistent across devices, and purchased content does not carry over cleanly to Android or other services.
people who are specifically looking for Cowboy Bebop-style "serious" anime because commenters say Cowboy Bebop is a sure pick and that Hellsing is great if you like serious anime (with notes on Hellsing vs Hellsing Ultimate).
anime fans who want to buy Apple TV anime box sets for $4.99 because you have to purchase inside the Apple TV app (and the links can take you to the Apple TV+ series page with a Buy button).
buyers who are okay with dub-focused viewing because one commenter says the sale titles are "always dub only, no Japanese," and another notes that animation is dubbed by definition (so the discussion should be about voice work quality).
people who want to try highly recommended older anime at a low price because commenters specifically call out Outlaw Star Complete and Serial Experiments Lain as additional $4.99 box sets and say Outlaw Star is very highly recommended.
anime viewers who prefer original audio options when available because commenters report some titles have separate box set listings for Japanese audio (and Apple TV may be the only option for original audio, even though there isn't a single collated listing).
Mac/iPad users who can load Apple TV normally because at least one commenter reports the deal won't load on a MacBook Air or iPad (so this is best for people whose Apple TV app works).
Windows PC users who expected the purchase to happen automatically because one commenter says buying has to be done within the Apple TV app and won't automatically happen on a Windows PC.
people who want a single, clearly collated "box set" listing for every language because commenters say there isn't a collated listing and that some titles require checking separate listings for Japanese audio.
buyers who rely on Apple TV content working across devices/services because commenters report the purchased content can't be watched on Apple+ on Android OS.
people who are trying to buy on a MacBook Air or iPad because one commenter says the deal won't load there and shows "server not found."
buyers who need the exact series title from the link because commenters report link/title mismatches (e.g., Panty & Stocking opening Princess Jellyfish).
buyers who want to ensure the library language matches what they purchased because one commenter says buying the English language version shows up as the complete Japanese language version in their library (even though it plays in English).
people who specifically want a "Buy Season 1" box set option for every title because one commenter says Bento doesn't show a Buy Season 1 option and only shows $2.99 per episode.

I guess it just mine cause when I click trying to buy bento it doesn't have the buy season 1 option just $2.99 per episode that's wack

If you like serious animes like Cowboy Bepop, then Hellsing is great. The original series is older, unless that is Hellsing Ultimate, which is slightly newer and much darker but shorter.
