I had the same thing happen to me yesterday, but wound up getting one delivered in the end.

My first purchase was cancelled (I got the email right after purchasing) and every attempt to log into sameday.costco.com after that redirected to the deactivated=true URL you're getting now until my account was unblocked.

The steps to unblock my account were:
  1. In addition to the cancellation notification from Costco, I got email with account verification steps from Instacart.
  2. I followed the link and uploaded photos of my drivers license and credit card (with some details redacted) to an account verification link.
  3. About 30 minutes later I got another email asking me to upload a selfie with me holding my drivers license (again with some details redacted)
  4. Within an hour or so after submitting the selfie, I got email stating that my account had been reactivated.
  5. I went back to sameday.costco.com and was able to log in this time and complete my purchase.
  6. Within 90 minutes or so my MacBook Air was delivered.
I was worried about missing the deal since some of the verification steps said it could take 24-48 hours to hear back from Instacart, but fortunately I was able to make it through in the same day.
I've been a Costco member for over 20 years and never purchased anything through Instacart before this deal, so I assume it just flagged the transaction as highly unusual.

Ppl have different approaches to tipping. They may factor in the amount of time spent collecting the order (10 to 20 items versus 1) rather than the cost of the order. Pay more for long list of items and not always apply rigid % especially if very inexpensive order or very expensive order.

Weird so stores still have it on stock? But instacrap saying out of stock? Sounds like they losing money footing the sale.

No, Costco no longer has the promo on their site and Instacart took it down as well. Some do-gooder complained to upper management probably.

Not sure it was a scam. People did get it for 150ish off discounted MSRP. Pretty damn good deal with limited hoops to jump through. I got mine for nearly the same price with PayPal in 4, but had to take a "loan" lol. Works out to be the nearly the same price.

They took the product off the instacart site for me completely. You can buy other MacBooks just not that one any more

I got this over the weekend but then decided that I wanted the 13" instead. Was able to exchange it at the store no problem for the 512gb version and not have to pay a difference.
