Too slow for a DJI drone
This says Up to 160MBS, what's the threshold for your drone?

The EVO Select series works fine with my DJI air 3. I can't determine any difference using this from my SD extreme PRO. I'm sure the extreme pro is a more robust card and specs better in every way.

Due to the constant overwriting from the camera. There is a chance for earlier failure from these cards vs their Endurance line. It may even void the warranty to use these in a continuous recording use case.

Please don't spread misinformation, 4k video recording doesn't require more than 160MB/s writes, more like 1-8MB/s. Even raw 4k (which consumer grade devices generally won't do) caps out around 50MB/s

I've only use these "regular" U3 Samsung EVO cards (14 total) for my 2x dashcams, 6x security cameras, 2x action cameras, and 2x DSLR cameras. The oldest is a pair of 128GB Samsung EVO (the green one from Amazon) and I've been using those for over 7 years in my dashcam, or the equivalent of 3.5yrs of constant use since I swap 1 with the other every 8hrs of driving which is how long it takes to fill up 1 card. This way I never have downtime or have to overwrite any videos and I can take the full card in my house to copy all the video files to my computer and review them later, then erase that card and have it ready to swap back in when the other card I just installed gets full. Yes, I'm sure "endurance" cards can be written to more times total (I think they claim about 25% more writes?) before they start going bad but these Samsung EVO Select green and blue 128GB & 256GB microSD cards from Amazon have worked for this long without a problem in all my devices and I drive an average amount (about 10k-12k miles per year) so I stopped considering using the more expensive "endurance" cards a long time ago as these "normal" cards have proved to be more than sufficient for all my usage purposes.

When you get your card, make sure to check that it is genuine. Samsung utility is here:

Please don't try to dissuade people from buying high endurance cards for their intended purpose. Many people have found out the hard way that regular cards can't be trusted for security/dashcam use. It's not uncommon for the card to appear to be working properly, only for the user to discover it has failed when they try to get data off it.

I don't know where you get the idea high endurance cards are only rated for 25% more writes but I'm fairly confident the number is far higher. Regular SD cards don't usually even advertise these numbers. BTW, using a regular card in a security/dashcam will almost always void the warranty.

he still has a point. had a 32GB endurance card only last a couple of years (close to 2 years and days before the warranty ended). Meanwhile, the EVO select 32GB (they don't make them anymore) has lasted since 2018 and was replaced this year. All my cameras are continuously recording 24/7. Evo Select was in the garage where the camera is starting to deteriorate this year (wyze v2 cam from 2018), most likely due to heat damage.

I'm using store branded micro center cheap 64/128GB MicroSD cards in 32 wyze cams since 2022 and only a handful have failed. I would say I'm still getting better value with cheap non-endurance cards. My accountant thinks so as well.

A card failing at the wrong time in a security/dashcam could have VERY expensive consequences. It's not like we're even talking about a big difference in price. The Samsung Pro Endurance is only $5 (or 33%) more expensive.

That's why you check them regularly to confirm they are still recording. It should be part of one's at least monthly if not weekly maintenance check. Just because it is labelled endurance does not mean it also won't fail.
