I'm currently getting the Orgain 30g protein shakes from Costco. Pretty good deal and they go on sale occasionally which is when I try to stock up at least a few boxes. They do use stevia if that is of concern, but that seems worlds better than something like acesulfame potassium, sucralose, etc.

I have my own protein powder blend that I use at home but these are good for when you need to just grab and go.

also one of the few companies that make a decent vegan protein shake. A little watery but still fairly good.

pea vs whey protein.... ill stick with whey. Pea has always seemed liked the cheaper filler protein if youre trying to build muscle. I was really into it 3 years back when studies came out supporting it but then found out there's a big soy/pea lobby group and the bodybuilding movie that promoted it was funded by the soy industry protein companies.

Oh really? I haven't been following past few years but I saw they were one of the proteins without lead or something in it

I think their real fall was when they got class action lawsuits for something like making up there was enzymes added to aid protein digestion. Probably the only class action I ever got any money out of!

Orgain tastes like crap IMO. Super bland and very watery. I'll stick with years of research from the FDA and other world food governing bodies about the safety of sucralose, Ace-K, and other artificial sweeteners, rather than non-fact based fear mongering.

What you saw was false. Pea protein has many magnitudes more lead content than whey protein virtually without exception because it grows from soil, where lead is abundant. Cows liver at least filters some of that lead out before you drink the protein powder made from cows milk.
