Knipex pliers wrenches are a compact, smooth jaw alternative to Crescent wrenches that excel at gripping and holding without teeth. The set gets praise for strong bite, slim jaws, and durability, with the regular finish handling galvanized steel pipe and cast iron without deforming a tooth. It also stands out for automotive work and spring tensioned hose clamps. The main knocks are the small size spread in this set and the high price versus cheaper alternatives, especially for lighter DIY use. A solid specialty set if you will use it often.
The regular-finish set can handle galvanized steel pipe and cast iron without deformed teeth.
The pliers-wrench style without teeth can work well for tasks different from toothed channel-lock versions.
The grips can feel noticeably better for spring-tensioned hose clamps and automotive work.
The set can feel less bulky than common imitations, which can help if the tools get used often.
The included sizes can feel less useful because 6-inch and 7.5-inch options are close together.
DIY users may not see the value versus cheaper alternatives like Channel Lock at roughly one-quarter the price.
The set may be less suitable for heavy-load jobs because it can be prone to breaking under heavy stress.
The set can be outcompeted on price by much cheaper Cobra-clone sets that include larger sizes like 12 inches.

Yeah, I got an Amazon Basics set of Knipex Cobra clones (not smooth parallel jaws like this set) with bigger sizes (7, 10, and 12 inch) a few months ago on sale for $14.38. Good enough for me!
Just kidding.
I love both these and my toothed version though. Different tasks but both great tools.
