They are all the exact same kind. Only difference is color variations. Costco, staples, ts, and office depot all exact same 27 gallon greenmades.

I love uniform organization and own a ton of these style totes. My biggest gripe against these standardized form factor units is that they all narrow so much at the bottom instead of trying to have vertically angled walls. The most efficient storage shape allows for smaller items and boxes to fill the space from the bottom to the top evenly. There is rarely a great way to not end up with dead space in these things unless you are using them for clothes and fabrics (one of our main uses). Storing smaller boxed or stackable items always turns using these things into a practice in organizational jigsaw madness

I love the Home Depot HDX totes. I own dozens. They are amazing for storage and moving.

I have also purchased the Lowe's totes, but they are more brittle and are a slightly different shape, so they don't stack with the Home Depot totes.

I wonder if these stack with the Home Depot totes.

I'm sure it's to make them stack better for shipping. One thing to make you feel better about the dead space is it can be helpful to get your hands down the sides to grab on to something low in the box when it's "full"

Not true. They all don't stack the same. Some of them need to be stacked together on top or bottom. I don't know which is which but it all works out.

Try a different location that has them on sale for $6.49. Got lucky the ones near me had 10+. The others located farther only had 2-3...not worth the drive + toll fees LOL​

It is true. You are talking about different brands. All greenmade 27 gallons are exactly the same with color variations. I've literally gotten them from several different stores...
