This is a Wi Fi 6 mesh kit best suited for extending coverage across a house, especially when wired backhaul is available. ASUS AiMesh compatibility lets mixed ASUS routers work together, and wired setups are described as stable with strong coverage. Wireless backhaul can still perform well, with tri band systems delivering much better range and faster remote room speeds than dual band setups. Caveats include reports of weak signal, daily crashes, and stock firmware problems, plus it is less compelling if you already have wiring or need seamless compatibility with TP Link gear.

  • The system can deliver strong real-world throughput when wired backhaul is used between nodes.

  • The system can work well for wireless backhaul when a dedicated backhaul band is available.

  • The mesh can integrate with other ASUS Aimesh routers for whole-home coverage.

  • The deal can be considered reasonable compared with higher-priced multi-pack options elsewhere.

  • The system may not provide mesh compatibility with TP-Link units, which can cause significant Wi‑Fi drops.

  • The system can suffer from weak signal and daily crashes or reboots in real-world use.

  • The stock firmware can be described as atrocious, which can hurt day-to-day performance even with wired backhaul.

  • The deal may be out of stock now, which can prevent purchase when you are ready.

Clearly you are a very sophisticated and rich person if you've experienced the luxury that is triband WiFi. Perhaps next you will tell us about your fancy meal at the Olive Garden where you didn't think twice about the meatball add-on for your never-ending pasta bowl or the way your deep pockets enable you drink Starbucks every day like a movie star. Please, tell us more about your lifestyle of the rich and famous where you can buy things out of the reach of the poor Slickdealers who must choose between triband WiFi and shoes for our children.
Coping and seething lol. Only you there little buddy. I just provided information why triband is the preferred option for those that want a wireless setup because a dedicated backhaul would def be beneficial. But you're too butthurt to accept it.

Totally fine if you have a wired backhaul...
Agreed but like i said most people dont have it wired. And wont be using these wired. And if you're wired theres much better options than these.

is there merlin firmware support?
Nope. Thats why these are a bad choice even if you're wired. The stock firmware is atrocious but im the bad guy eating at Olive Garden (according to abstractedpudding) rofl so who knows.
